Twitter Weekly Updates for 2010-01-29

Me thinks the iPad does not need flash. Youtube and vimeo already support html 5 and websites in flash generally suck. # Damn, i think i'm losing my appreciation for high concentrations of sugar. Drinking tea with no sugar apparently also has disadvantages # Big disappointment on the iPad. Going to bed to try to [...]

Things i wanted in Apple’s iPad (tablet)

Cool as it may be, i cannot but feel disappointed with Apple’s newest unveiling – the iPad: No camera – Really? In this day and age of videoconferencing?!? What are you guys thinking? No GPS – It does have assisted (wifi/3G) GPS but it’s not quite the same, is it? Especially when you don’t have wifi or [...]

Most amazing picture of diver and a whale

I can’t resist sharing this because it’s simply one of the best pictures i have seen. This is one of those times when i really feel how so damn small and insignificant we are compared to the rest of nature. Incredible! You can see more pictures in the original article.

Some Apple tablet features

Jason Calacanis apparently had access to the Apple table 10 days ago. Weekly findings on the internets – edition first

Every Friday i’m going to write a post with cool stuff that i found during that week unless something more important comes up, like a really really good TV show or movie – or if i get abducted by aliens. … The latter did release version 3.6 with full HTML5 support, but apparently youtube doesn’t know that :) Cool new web site uptime monitor (free) – I was later shown another one (thanks Nick) which is more web 2.0esque, though they both do the same: Send you an email when your website is down.

Remote software developers

I recently found myself wondering about what would be the reasons why most IT companies don’t like the idea of having its employees working remotely. From the top of my head, and playing a devil’s advocate role, I can come up with: Working remotely gives you an excuse not to work; You are more easily [...]

A shoe in for the job

Just found this pearl of a story. It tells the tale of an IT employee that sees his resume twisted by a recruiter to fit a job description at a financial institution and how that fact makes him waste his time and money chasing a job where he would not fit in the first place. [...]
